I love storytelling. So much so, that even when I'm doing gameplay, I'm still trying to tell a story, even if it's just to myself. This drove me to create a story-based legacy challenge for players like me, who struggle getting into detached gameplay. Each generation includes a backstory that flows into the next, creating a generational story.

Think of this only as a template. If you want to follow it strictly to the rules and story, feel free to do so--it's your gameplay after all! Since this legacy challenge tries to encompass most of the packs, you might need to tweak goals and stories if you do not have the pack. Feel free to reach out to me about any change recommendations.

Right now this legacy challenge currently sits at 8 generations. Two more generations are currently in the works.
GEN 1: Orange
You're the new one in town and out to start a new legacy. With no friends and unfortunately no family left, you're starting your new life alone, but with your confidence you're bound to make friends soon (if they don't think you're too erratic). Your ambition drives your motives and whims and you strive to improve all sim lives. Like an orange, you're bright with a life that seems to lack any lumps. But will you be squeezed dry? Will your work in the world take priority over the needs of your growing family?

-

GEN 2: Strawberry
You grew up watching your parents change the world, but with that came the pressure to be perfect. Everyone is watching when your mom/dad is a national leader. You're a little gloomy and easy to embarrass (you flush the color of a strawberry when you get flustered) and wish you had more time with your parents. Maybe that's why you have a hard time keeping a relationship. Art is your solace and although your friends and family appreciate your masterpieces, you don't think they take your life's work seriously. When times get tough, a paintbrush makes everything better, but can it fix a broken heart?

One of your parents may be a renowned artist, but you can't even draw a stick-sim. You're obsessed with math, science, and the best most amazing thing of all--OUTER SPACE. You vow to travel to Sixam before you can even do the monkey bars. Your social life has taken a backseat because OUTER SPACE and you don't have the best conversational skills (something always sets you off on a rant), but at least you're trying. Will you come to terms with the reality of your life choices, or will your head always be stuck in the stars?

GEN 4: Lemon
You are loud, social, and live a little on the wild side. Although you grew up financially stable, you didn't exactly have the most stable life. That's what happens when your mom/dad spends half their time on another planet. There was always someone different taking care of you and your half-sibling and you've spent your whole life searching for love and attention...but maybe not the right kind. Getting married and having a family was nowhere on your life-plan, but when life gives you lemons, will you make lemonade or are you just too sour to settle down?

Lucky for you, you found love early and married your high school sweetheart. You're so determined to make sure your children's lives are perfect that you take on everything. You take care of your troop of children, you bake, you cook, you clean, you help with homework, you even harvest fruits and vegetables from your own garden. Have you taken on too much to have the perfect life or will you shine that apple a little too much?

GEN 6: Rotten Apple
You blame your bad attitude on your parents. Maybe if they weren't pretending everything was so perfect all the time, they would've realized that you were born to be WILD. Growing up, the other kids didn't understand you and now you're out for revenge on the world. You'd be happy to watch it burn, but then there would be nothing left to steal and where's the fun in that? You appreciate art almost as much as you love to steal it, and you can't stand people in general, but you do have a few like-minded friends in your club. You're great with words and talking people into doing your bidding. You once vowed to never get married and have kids like your parents, but once you find someone who warns your black heart, you elope with them immediately. And when you do have a child, you hope and wish that they'll be evil like you, proving that the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree.

-

GEN 7: Blueberry
You are sweet as pie. Blueberry pie, that is. While your parents groomed you to be the next evil mastermind, you were dreaming about putting criminals behind bars. You learned right from wrong at a very young age and you treat everyone you meet with kindness, which drives your evil parents literally insane. Once you become a young adult, you move out on your own immediately and never look back. Determined to give back to the community your parents stole from, you become a detective and serve justice to those pesky criminals wreaking havoc on innocent sims. But when things get messy, will you have the heart to lock up your parents, or will you have your pie and eat it too?

GEN 8: Bananas
You're a little weird. In fact, some people think you're completely bananas. You've always been attracted to the strange and different, and you're curious about anything and everything, even collecting as many "awesome" things as you can. Your clothes are wild, your hair is wild, and you have the wildest ideas, like exploring Selvadorada's hidden temples, finding out wtf is happening in Strangerville, and meeting amazing creatures like vampires and mermaids. Like your parents, you leave no mystery left uncovered, but the mysteries you're chasing are a little more...out there. You have one very close friend you've kept since you were a kid and as you grow up together you realize maybe there's more between you than you thought. But is it all just a figment of your imagination? You are a little bananas after all.
